Lean on Me

The road has been long … you’ve grown weary.
Come, lean on me for a while.
Let me help ease the pain and the sorrow,
Warm my heart just once more with your smile.

During my life you have always
Been the Rock I leaned upon.
Let me repay your love ... with my love ..
While you’re here ... Not after you’ve gone.

Never consider yourself a burden
You are a treasure , so precious to me.
You‘ve been a blessing to have in my life,
Now and throughout eternity.

As your days on this earth slowly dwindle,
And you prepare for your journey Home,
Lean on me, I will stay here beside you,
I promise you won’t be alone.

Lean on me, it’s the last gift I’ll ask for,
There is one thing I want you to do …
When its time ... go in peace and in comfort,
For Heaven is waiting for you.
